ELLSWORTH COUNTY COMMISSION MEETING
MINUTES
OCTOBER 29, 2007
The Board of Ellsworth County Commissioners convened this 29th day of October at the Ellsworth County Courthouse.
Members Present:

Terry L. Kueser, 3rd District Commissioner

Chairman Rush called the meeting to order at 9:00 a.m.
Commissioner Kueser moved to approve the Agenda with a deletion. Commissioner Oller seconded the motion. Motion carried 3-0.
Commissioner Kueser moved to approve the Minutes of October 22, 2007. Commissioner Oller seconded the motion. Motion carried 3-0.
No one was present for the Public Forum.
Michelle Maze, EMS Director, reported the new ambulance had a fender bender when filling up with gas at the county shop. A part has been ordered and she had two bids for the repair. It will probably be under $500 which is the deductible. On January 1, 2008 some of the money received for traffic fines will be allocated to the public safety organizations and they will be using the money to fund grants. Mrs. Maze plans to apply for a grant to cover the cost of three new heart monitors. Presently, they cost $18,000 each. She will be holding an EMS class in Wilson after the first of the year.
Rebecca Crowder, Austin Peters Group, via a telephone conference, visited with the Commissioner about updating our salary schedule. Upon receiving information from the Clerk, she will consider their concerns and get back to them in about two weeks.
There were no old business items.
Commissioner Kueser moved to pay the Wilson Telephone Bill in the amount of $18,267.60 for the interconnection between the Century Building and hospital from the Hospital Bond Fund. Commissioner Oller seconded the motion. Motion carried 3-0.
Chairman Rush adjourned the meeting at 11:00 a.m.
